Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-black turbo reanimator and storm list commanded by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The primary strategy accelerates mana through fast artifacts and dark rituals to deploy K'rrik on Turn 2 or 3. Once K'rrik is on the battlefield, his ability converts black mana costs into life payments, allowing rapid execution of powerful draw engines and tutors like Buried Alive, Necropotence, and Peer into the Abyss. The deck finishes games in a single turn by reanimating Necrotic Ooze with Asmodeus the Archfiend and Skirge Familiar in the graveyard, drawing the library, and generating infinite storm to eliminate all opponents using Aetherflux Reservoir or Gray Merchant of Asphodel loops. While the deck boasts format-ceiling speed, redundancy, and rapid recovery through cheap reanimation spells, it carries notable vulnerability to instant-speed creature removal, graveyard hate, and aggressive life total pressure.
