Deck overview

This Rakdos deck, helmed by Gev, Scaled Scorch, is a blisteringly fast combo-aristocrats machine that aims to win through infinite death loops or token swarms. The primary game plan revolves around assembling persist-based combos-using Putrid Goblin or Murderous Redcap alongside Metallic Mimic and a free sacrifice outlet-to trigger a blood artist effect (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance) for immediate table drain. An alternate line uses Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame to create infinite hasty tokens for combat. A dense ritual package (Dark Ritual, Desperate Ritual, Burnt Offering, Culling the Weak) and a low average mana value of 2.22 allow the deck to power out its combos as early as turn 3, while a suite of seven-plus tutors ensures consistent access to key pieces. Gev himself acts as a resilient anthem and pinging engine, but the deck's wins come overwhelmingly from the 99, making him a supplementary value piece rather than a required component.
