Commander: Hulk, Gamma Goliath

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Gruul +1/+1 counters deck is helmed by Hulk, Gamma Goliath, a 6/5 reach trample commander who reduces the power-up costs of other creatures by {3}. The primary game plan is to deploy a suite of Hero and Villain creatures with power-up abilities, use Hulk's cost reduction to activate them cheaply, and leverage counter doublers like Hardened Scales and Branching Evolution to create enormous threats. The deck wins through combat damage, often with trample from Garruk's Uprising or Training Regimen, and can generate incremental card advantage via Terrasymbiosis and Garruk's Uprising. There are no infinite combos; the strategy is a straightforward midrange beatdown that relies on board presence and counter synergies.
