Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Jund Group Slug and Mana Burn strategy led by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash. The core game plan revolves around accelerating mana production with symmetrical doublers like Heartbeat of Spring, Mana Flare, and Overabundance, then turning that abundance into lethal liability. Through a layered suite of punishers—including Manabarbs, Citadel of Pain, Burning Earth, and War's Toll—the deck forces opponents to take damage whether they tap lands, cast spells, or leave mana unspent. Asymmetric life-loss doublers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Wound Reflection rapidly accelerate the clock, while Seedborn Muse allows Yurlok to inject unspent mana into opponents' pools on every turn. The deck breaks parity through mana storage (Omnath, Locus of Mana, Leyline Tyrant) and closes games with devastating X-spells like Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate or compounding attrition.
