Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain tribal midrange deck helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The plan leverages the Villain creature type and the connive mechanic: discard for value, grow bodies, and pressure life totals. The commander gives a Villain menace and a free connive each combat while draining the table whenever lands are discarded. The 99 backs this up with dense Villain payoffs (Madame Hydra, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Ultron, Unlimited, The Squadron Sinister), discard engines (Monument to Endurance, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, Currency Converter), and tribal anthems. Wins come primarily through go-wide combat with menace and tokens, supplemented by incremental drain and occasional graveyard casts via mayhem. There are no clean infinite combos; Doomsday and Doctor Doom, Unrivaled are grindy tools rather than a snap win. The deck plays as a value combat pile that wants to flood the board and out-attrition the table.
