Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats midrange deck commanded by Edgar, Ancient Bloodlord. The strategy centers on establishing resilient board engines that convert creature deaths into steady life drain and combat pressure. In the early game, the deck deploys low-cost fodder like Carrier Thrall and Putrid Goblin, pairing them with Edgar or Fleshtaker as sacrifice outlets. As the game transitions into the midgame, enchantments and creatures such as Bastion of Remembrance, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Massacre Girl, Most Wanted weaponize every death trigger to drain the entire table. The deck features an extensive suite of single-target removal and asymmetric board wipes to manage opposing threats. Without fast mana or infinite combos, it closes games through sustained attrition and combat, leveraging reanimation spells like Dread Return and Unburial Rites to outlast opposing removal.
