Deck overview

Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp pilots an aggressive Boros artifact strategy centered on the modular mechanic and +1/+1 counter manipulation. The deck deploys low-cost modular artifact creatures, rapidly consolidating power through sacrifice outlets and counter-transfer abilities. Zabaz acts as both an enabler and an amplifier, granting an additional counter whenever modular triggers and providing an on-demand sacrifice outlet for {R}. High-synergy permanents like The Ozolith, Resourceful Defense, and Arcbound Ravager ensure that power is never wasted when creatures leave the battlefield. The primary win condition relies on building an overwhelming, evasive threat—often Zabaz itself with flying or an unblockable trampler—to eliminate opponents in rapid succession. Secondary value engines such as Alibou, Ancient Witness, All Will Be One, and Losheel, Clockwork Scholar provide reach, direct burn, and card advantage. While vulnerable to mass exile and bounce, the deck boasts resilient combat math and swift recovery against conventional board wipes.
