Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck is engineered to exploit the cost-reduction mechanic of Ghalta, Primal Hunger. By pairing low-cost mana dorks with over-statted beaters like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Tangleweave Armor, the deck amasses 10 or more creature power as early as Turn 3 or 4. This enables Ghalta to be deployed for just {G}{G}, putting a 12/12 trampler onto the battlefield well ahead of normal curves. Once assembled, the deck leverages power-based card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise to sustain continuous pressure. While the deck possesses explosive combat potential, it lacks creature tutors and compact infinite combos, requiring three consecutive combat steps to close out a four-player pod. Its primary vulnerabilities are sorcery-speed sweepers and targeted removal directed at its pre-Ghalta enablers, as the deck runs limited defensive counter-measures and virtually no proactive stax pieces.
