Format: Commander

Commander: The Sentry, Golden Guardian

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Sentry, Golden Guardian commands a mono-white pillowfort and combat control strategy centered on indestructible threats, forced attacks, and damage redirection. Casting The Sentry provides a resilient 5/5 flying, vigilant attacker while donating The Void token to an opponent to force them into attacking other players. The deck capitalizes on this aggression with pillowfort pieces like Ghostly Prison and Orzhov Advokist to steer incoming threats away. Meanwhile, damage redirection tools such as Pariah and With Great Power attached to indestructible permanents or Phyrexian Vindicator render you immune to damage. You seal victory through evasive commander combat enhanced by Duelist's Heritage or by weaponizing massive life totals with Aetherflux Reservoir.
