Deck overview

This deck is a focused Simic +1/+1 counters and {X}-spell deck led by Zimone, Infinite Analyst. The primary game plan revolves around using early mana ramp to deploy Zimone on Turn 2 or 3, followed by casting scaling {X}-cost spells on subsequent turns. Each {X} spell cast triggers Zimone to gain two +1/+1 counters, which progressively reduces the mana cost of future {X} spells by one colorless mana per counter. The deck converts this mana discount and high-volume mana generation from pieces like Kami of Whispered Hopes, Elementalist's Palette, and Unbound Flourishing into colossal threats such as Primordial Hydra, Goldvein Hydra, and Primo, the Unbounded. Evasion enablers like Tanazir Quandrix, Nev, the Practical Dean, and Baxter, Fly in the Ointment grant trample and flying to push lethal combat damage across the table by Turn 8, while Simic Ascendancy provides an alternate win condition.
