Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages Saruman of Many Colors as an attrition and value commander while centering its primary win condition on a fast, compact Necrotic Ooze reanimator combo. By using Buried Alive to place Necrotic Ooze, Phyrexian Devourer, and Triskelion into the graveyard, the deck can reanimate Necrotic Ooze as early as Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, the Ooze utilizes Devourer's ability to exile library cards for +1/+1 counters and Triskelion's ability to remove them for direct damage, killing the table at instant speed. Backing this strategy is a secondary infinite combo featuring Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank, alongside a mill package with Mesmeric Orb, Memory Erosion, and Bloodchief Ascension.
