Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy led by Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients, blending Enrage mechanics with Dragon tribal payoffs. The deck aims to ramp smoothly in the opening turns, deploy Vrondiss, and utilize repeatable pingers such as Goblin Bombardment and Cunning Sparkmage to generate 5/4 Dragon Spirit tokens. These tokens trigger powerful damage amplifiers like Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Warstorm Surge, as well as draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond. Because Dragon Spirits sacrifice themselves upon dealing damage, the list incorporates indestructible enablers to keep Vrondiss intact while repeatedly absorbing damage. In games where Vrondiss is heavily contested, the deck pivots naturally into high-impact Dragon beatdown using standalone powerhouses like Utvara Hellkite, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Xenagos, God of Revels. It also harbors an infinite loop between Marauding Raptor and Polyraptor that can force draws or win with an active outlet.
