Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis 'Bad Gifts' control build commanded by Edea, Possessed Sorceress. It leverages Edea's combat ability to steal opposing creatures and convert them into card advantage via sacrifice outlets, while also packaging traditional donate mechanics. The game plan focuses on ramping during the early turns, establishing Edea or a redundant donation engine like Jon Irenicus, Shattered One or Blim, Comedic Genius, and gifting debilitating permanents such as Steel Golem, Grid Monitor, Aggressive Mining, and Illusions of Grandeur to opponents. These gifts systematically strip opponents of resources, lock them out of casting creatures, or deal massive burst damage upon departure. Backed by solid artifact ramp, efficient black and red removal, and goad effects, the deck controls the flow of combat and forces opponents to eliminate each other before cleaning up the survivors.
