Gondor

Format: Commander

Commander: Éowyn, Shieldmaiden

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Eowyn, Shieldmaiden is the single-faced commander and the engine of this Human/monarch aggro deck. The primary plan is to play cheap Human creatures, then use Eowyn's attack trigger to turn every additional Human into two hasty 2/2 Knights and draw cards once the board reaches six Humans. A secondary monarch package-Aragorn, Court of Ire, Champions of Minas Tirith-draws cards and shapes combat. Hidden commander: none; the deck is built around Eowyn's tokens, with Forth Eorlingas!, Visions of Glory, and Riders of Rohan as burst finishers. Typical wins are one big attack with 15+ power after an X spell, or a double-strike Eowyn line with Theoden.
