Deck overview

This deck is a focused Boros Voltron strategy built around Lightning, Army of One. Lightning's Stagger ability doubles all damage dealt to a player after she connects in combat. By pairing Lightning with double strike enablers such as Duelist's Heritage, Reyav, Master Smith, and Blade Historian, the first strike damage step triggers Stagger, causing the regular damage step to hit for double damage. The deck accelerates this clock using aggressive Equipment such as Embercleave, Thran Power Suit, and Bloodforged Battle-Axe. Card draw engines like Sram, Senior Edificer and Kíli the Resourceful keep hand sizes stable, while stax elements like High Noon and Norn's Annex slow down opposing strategies. The deck aims to assemble by Turn 4, present lethal commander damage on Turn 5, and eliminate all opponents by Turn 7.
