Format: Commander

Commander: Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats deck built around Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, using its end-step recursion to re-play power-1 creatures and convert their deaths into drain, cards, and mana. The primary plan is to assemble an infinite sacrifice loop with Ashnod's Altar (or Transmogrant Altar), Pitiless Plunderer, and Reassembling Skeleton, with any death-trigger drain as the payoff. A secondary path uses Plague of Vermin to create a swarm of Rats and sacrifice them under Ayara/Blood Artist effects. Bolas's Citadel and sacrifice-draw spells dig toward the pieces. Shirei is the flagship engine, but the deck can win independently of the commander once the altar loop is live.
