Deck overview

This Dimir deck combines control, theft, and combat manipulation under The Master, Mesmerist. In the opening turns, the deck accelerates mana with low-cost artifacts and deploys its commander on Turn 3. The Master taps on Turn 4 to goad opposing creatures with low power, granting them skulk so they slip past blockers to attack your opponents, drawing cards and growing The Master in the process. Disruptive permanents like Opposition Agent and Dauthi Voidwalker impede opposing game plans while board wipes clear large threats. As graveyards fill with milled and eliminated creatures, the deck pivots to high-impact mass reanimation and theft spells, such as Breach the Multiverse and Sepulchral Primordial, to assemble an overwhelming army from opponents' resources. A compact mill-out combo with Helm of Obedience and Dauthi Voidwalker provides an alternate finish.
