Deck overview

This Golgari Spider-tribal deck is an attrition-based midrange build helmed by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. The plan is to use a critical mass of Spiders - many with reach, deathtouch, or both - to control combat, then convert opposing creatures that die to Spider damage into Food tokens. Academy Manufactor multiplies those Foods into Food, Clue, and Treasure, while The Serpent Society and Vraska, the Silencer turn deaths into edicts and mana. The primary finish is a critical-mass overrun: build a wide Spider token board through Ishkanah, Grafwidow, Lolth, Spider Queen, Spider Spawning, and Arachnogenesis, then break the game open with Craterhoof Behemoth, often tutored directly onto the battlefield by Hatchery Spider. Secondary grind lines use Shelob, Dread Weaver, Rotwidow Pack, and Doom Weaver for card advantage, drain, and recursion. The deck is slow, board-centric, and highly dependent on keeping its eight-power commander alive.
