Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control build centered around Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The strategy focuses on establishing Eluge early to accumulate flood counters on basic Islands. Each flood counter permanently turns the land into an Island and provides a cumulative mana discount on the first instant or sorcery spell cast on each player's turn. By spreading spell casts across all four turns of a rotation, the deck maximizes mana efficiency to hold up inexpensive countermagic, bounce removal, and instant-speed card draw. As flood counters build, the deck transitions into the late game by resolving high-impact payoffs such as Shark Typhoon, Chrome Host Seedshark, and kicked Rite of Replication, or by casting massive draw spells like Finale of Revelation and Drown in Dreams. Overwhelming flying token swarms and unblockable commander attacks close out the game over two decisive combat steps.
