Deck overview

This is a high-power Izzet upkeep-multiplication and exile-value deck helmed by Itazura, Lingering Wick. The core plan is to resolve the commander, then stack extra upkeep steps and trigger copies so Itazura exiles deep into the library every turn cycle, generating free spells for the table (politically) and guaranteed card advantage for you. Payoffs like Nalfeshnee, Wild-Magic Sorcerer, and Etali, Primal Storm convert exile casting into cascades and copies, while Show and Tell and Omniscience cheat in finishers such as Blightsteel Colossus and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre. Three extra-turn effects (Nexus of Fate, Temporal Mastery, Karn's Temporal Sundering) plus beginning-phase doublers (Sphinx of the Second Sun, Shadow of the Second Sun) let the deck chain value into a decisive turn. The suite is backed by dense free interaction and classic blue card selection, playing as a resilient midgame engine that closes through infect, annihilator, or overwhelming free spells.
