Durin's Folk

Format: Commander

Commander: Dáin of the Ancient Halls

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a Dwarf-tribal voltron deck that uses Dain of the Ancient Halls' haste and attack trigger as the primary kill. You develop a small Dwarf board, ramp with Treasures, then amplify Dain's number-of-Dwarves damage with Torbran, Gisela, or Fiery Emancipation and repeat it with extra combat effects. Equipment provides evasion, double strike, and protection. Secondary paths include Dwarf token swarms from An Unexpected Party and Fili the Pathfinder, plus Balin Loremaster's storied discard-draw burn. The commander is the fastest finisher, but the 99 contains lords, token makers, and equipment to win a slower combat race if he is removed.
