Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Landfall strategy built around Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. It accelerates its mana development during the first three turns with low-cost ramp spells like Growth Spiral, Explore, and Cultivate. On Turn 4, the deck deploys Aesi to unlock additional land drops and convert every land entry into fresh cards. On Turn 5, it pivots to critical threat onset by casting powerful landfall token generators like Avenger of Zendikar, Scute Swarm, and Rampaging Baloths. Because the deck lacks mass haste enablers, it passes the turn to untap on Turn 6, using asymmetric bounce spells like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets to clear blockers before attacking for lethal combat damage. While highly resilient against single-target removal due to an expansive land base, the deck is vulnerable to timely board wipes during its attack setup window.
