Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive Izzet storm deck piloted by Ral, Monsoon Mage. The primary objective is to leverage Ral's cost reduction alongside fast mana, rituals, and cantrips to quickly assemble an Underworld Breach win condition. Once Breach is on the battlefield, the deck loops Brain Freeze and Lotus Petal to mill its entire library, generate arbitrary amounts of mana and storm count, and then mill out all opponents or finish them with damage from Grapeshot or Aetherflux Reservoir. The deck protects its combo turn using a dense suite of free and low-cost countermagic, including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Force of Will. It generates immense card advantage through wheels like Wheel of Fortune and engines like Rhystic Study. It foregoes proactive stax entirely to maximize speed, resilience, and reactive interaction.
