Deck overview

This mono-black combo deck leverages graveyard velocity and efficient reanimation to execute compact, game-ending loops. Helmed by Drivnod, Carnage Dominus, the deck can leverage doubled death triggers for massive aristocrat attrition, but its premier route to victory centers on reanimating Necrotic Ooze. By utilizing single-card setup enablers such as Buried Alive, the deck places Asmodeus the Archfiend and Skirge Familiar into the graveyard. On Turn 4, resolving Necrotic Ooze allows the pilot to discard cards for black mana and draw chunks of seven cards without the exile replacement drawback of Asmodeus. This draws the library, generates infinite black mana, and finishes all opponents immediately with Torment of Hailfire or a Blood Artist drain loop. A deep suite of secondary lines—including Warren Soultrader and Forsaken Miner—provides excellent resilience against single-point removal.
