Commander: Isshin, Two Heavens as One

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Isshin, Two Heavens as One is the engine of a Mardu attack-trigger deck. The primary plan is to deploy Isshin, stack attack triggers from creatures like Anim Pakal, Kinscaer Sentry, and Typhoid Mary, and convert the resulting tokens, card advantage, and treasures into a multi-combat kill with Aurelia, the Warleader or All-Out Assault. Windcrag Siege acts as a hidden second Isshin, and Firebender Ascension copies key attack triggers. Secondary paths include cheating permanents into play with Kinscaer/Paladin Elizabeth Taggerdy, free spells from Cosmic Cube/Etali, and a Super State one-shot finish. The commander is the force multiplier; without it the deck still attacks but loses most of its explosive ceiling.
