Deck overview

This Azorius midrange deck harnesses the card filtering mechanics of scrying and surveilling to fuel a high-tempo combat engine under Denzilore Fatehold. By converting every scry and surveil trigger into +1/+1 counters across the entire battlefield, modest utility creatures quickly balloon into formidable threats. Dense cantrips, scrying lands, and repeatable activated abilities ensure continuous trigger flow while smoothing out resource draws. The deck leverages asymmetric board wipes like Damning Verdict and Wave Goodbye to dismantle opposing boards without harming its own modified army. When grounded combat is obstructed, evasion enablers like Herald of Secret Streams and Abzan Falconer push through lethal unblockable damage. In grindier matchups, alternate win conditions like Approach of the Second Sun take advantage of rapid top-deck manipulation to quickly find and recast the game-winning sorcery.
