Deck overview

This is a Golgari +1/+1 counters and life gain deck helmed by Dina, Essence Brewer. The strategy revolves around sacrificing creatures to trigger Dina's card draw and then using her activated ability to convert sacrificed power into life gain and counter distribution. The deck then weaponizes life gain through payoffs like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity to drain opponents, while leveraging counter synergies (Branching Evolution, Kami of Whispered Hopes) to grow enormous threats. Primary win conditions include combat damage from oversized creatures such as Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Yargle and Multani, plus the sacrifice-based drain of Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The deck is a value-oriented midrange build that aims to grind out advantage through repeated sacrifice loops and incremental life swings.
