Bears by Imrik

Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Beorn the Fierce is the deck's center draw and force-multiplier engine. The plan is to ramp into Beorn, build a wave of cheap Bears, changelings, and 2/2 Bear tokens, then use his combat trigger to draw two cards every turn once you control three Bears. The primary finish is a critical combat swing powered by Become the Avalanche or Unnatural Growth. Ezuri's Predation is a secondary path that turns a large opposing board into a massive army, and Evercoat Ursine can cheat a major spell into play off a hit. Growing Rites of Itlimoc is value/setup, not a hidden commander; its back face is simply a mana engine.
