Deck overview

This mono-red aggro deck centers on Calamity, Galloping Inferno to duplicate high-impact nonlegendary creatures upon attacking. By accelerating mana through cheap rocks, Treasure producers, and explosive rituals like Jeska's Will and Seething Song, the deck deploys a 4 to 5 CMC creature on Turn 3 and casts Calamity on Turn 4. With Calamity's innate haste and a low saddle requirement of 1, Calamity attacks immediately to produce two tapped and attacking copies of the saddled creature. Payoffs like Terror of the Peaks, Fanatic of Mogis, Inferno Titan, and Red Dragon generate overwhelming burn triggers that clear opposing blockers and eliminate opponents in rapid succession. The deck protects its attack step using efficient redirection spells such as Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend, while backup engines like Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Purphoros, God of the Forge maintain lethal momentum if the commander is removed.
