Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an artifact aggro-midrange build commanded by Baxter Stockman. It leverages low-cost artifact creatures, token generation, and Mutagen counter mechanics to establish an aggressive board presence. Baxter Stockman turns small artifact tokens into potent combat threats by granting +3/+0, first strike, and vigilance during each of your combat steps. The deck escalates its damage output through combat multipliers like Raphael, the Nightwatcher and Raphael, the Muscle, while All Will Be One and Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute convert counter placement into direct burn. Mana rocks and utility fixers support a steady deployment curve, allowing the deck to assemble its core synergy by Turn 4 and initiate lethal pressure around Turn 6. While vulnerable to mass artifact removal and lacking high-density tutors, the list maintains solid resilience through redundant artifact threats, equipment protection like Conqueror's Flail, and rapid commander recast recovery.
