Deck overview

This competitive Commander deck is piloted by Urza, Lord High Artificer as a high-powered Stax-Combo archetype. The game plan leverages format-ceiling fast mana rocks such as Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, Mox Opal, and Sol Ring to power out Urza on Turns 2–3. Once on the board, Urza turns all artifacts into Mox Sapphires, breaking the parity of oppressive stax pieces like Winter Orb, Trinisphere, and Back to Basics by tapping them before your untap step. The primary win condition centers on generating infinite mana via Basalt Monolith paired with Power Artifact, or Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal. Urza funnels this infinite mana directly into his activated ability, exiling the entire library and casting game-ending payoffs like Thassa's Oracle or Walking Ballista on Turn 4 with zero response cycles. Backed by free countermagic like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, the deck seamlessly blends suffocating resource denial with an airtight combo finish.
