Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Sea Monster Reanimator strategy piloted by Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep. The deck uses efficient graveyard enablers like Entomb, Buried Alive, and looters to deposit massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents into the graveyard. Runo retrieves these behemoths to the top of the library on entry, reliably transforming into Krothuss during the next upkeep. Once Krothuss attacks alongside a reanimated sea monster, it creates two tapped and attacking token copies of that creature. Threats like Spawning Kraken, Hullbreaker Horror, and Scourge of Fleets rapidly overwhelm opposing boards with unblockable damage, token swarms, and asymmetric bounces. Supported by cheap reanimation spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead, the deck bypasses high mana costs and turns early card advantage into game-ending combat pressure.
