Commander: Thranduil the Strategist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic Elf-landfall midrange list helmed by Thranduil the Strategist. The commander turns every land drop into a 1/1 Elf and gives every other Elf "{T}: Add {G} or {U}," so a wide tribal board is also a mana engine. The 99 leans into both halves: extra land drops and a dense fetch suite feed landfall, while lords, dorks, and token makers assemble critical mass. Doubling Season and Parallel Lives turn a single fetch into a flood. Wins are combat-only - primarily Craterhoof Behemoth or a large Finale of Devastation, with Ezuri, Renegade Leader as a cheaper overrun - rather than infinite combos. Thranduil the Strategist is the best engine but not a hidden commander; the 99 is a complete Elf ramp deck with backup landfall token makers in Thranduil, Sindarin Liege and Elfsworn Giant. Recast tax at seven mana stings, yet the stompy plan still functions if he is answered.
