Trash Bandit

Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul midrange strategy led by Bello, Bard of the Brambles, which turns non-Equipment artifacts and non-Aura enchantments with mana value 4 or greater into 4/4 Elemental creatures with indestructible, haste, and combat-damage card draw during your turn. Supported by a robust suite of 1-2 CMC ramp spells, the deck reliably deploys Bello on Turn 3 and begins attacking with utility permanents on Turn 4. On Turn 5, damage multipliers such as Unnatural Growth, Gratuitous Violence, or Berserkers' Onslaught turn these resilient utility pieces into lethal combat threats while refilling your hand. Because animated permanents cease to be creatures on opposing turns, the board is naturally immune to traditional sorcery-speed creature sweepers. Efficient protection spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping keep Bello safe from spot removal, allowing the deck to close out the game with an overwhelming combat finish by Turn 6.
