Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi serves as both an incremental burn outlet and a scalable burst mana generator that produces mana equal to its power once each turn. The strategy focuses on accelerating Vivi onto the battlefield by Turn 3, then leveraging cheap cantrips, cost reducers, and rituals to trigger Vivi repeatedly. Card draw engines like Curiosity and Archmage Emeritus keep the hand full of gas, enabling massive single-turn storm sequences that burn out all opponents simultaneously via Vivi, Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, or Grapeshot. A compact backup win condition exists through Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity. The deck is protected by a premier suite of free and efficient countermagic, ensuring that its explosive Turn 4 win attempts resolve through opposing interaction.
