Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu Equipment and Knight tribal strategy led by Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale. The game plan establishes early Knights and utility Equipment during the opening turns, accelerating mana into a Turn 5 Syr Gwyn. Gwyn eliminates equipment equip costs for Knights, instantly turning modest creatures into lethal threats with Colossus Hammer, Genji Glove, and Blackblade Reforged. Combat triggers from Gwyn and Sram, Senior Edificer maintain card advantage, while Sunforger provides an instant-speed toolbox for protection (Boros Charm, Flawless Maneuver) and removal (Swords to Plowshares, Anguished Unmaking). Backup engines like Puresteel Paladin, Balan, Wandering Knight, and Forge Anew ensure the deck applies lethal pressure even if Syr Gwyn is targeted.
