Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain combo-control strategy led by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel. The primary game plan establishes early mana rocks and passive lifegain triggers, then deploys Niv-Mizzet to convert life into massive card advantage. With the commander in play, each lifegain instance lets you pay life to draw cards, rapidly cycling through your library for game-ending pieces. The deck finishes games through infinite drain loops such as Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Alternatively, it weaponizes high life totals with Aetherflux Reservoir or converts massive draw steps into table-wide damage via Psychosis Crawler. Efficient removal like Swords to Plowshares, Anguished Unmaking, and Toxic Deluge keeps opposing threats in check. While the deck lacks blue counterspells and direct black tutors, its deep functional redundancy and card draw engine ensure consistent, decisive execution.
