Zurgo 8/26 by Python538

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo Stormrender

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Zurgo Stormrender turns every attack into both a new token and a card: the token dies at end of turn and Zurgo replaces it with a draw. The deck's core is Mardu token blitz, with Caesar, Legion's Emperor as a hidden secondary commander; his attack sacrifice creates more attackers, draws, or burns. Isshin and Windcrag Siege double attack triggers, while Mondrak, Exalted Sunborn, Elspeth, and Kaya multiply token counts. Drain payoffs such as Blood Artist, Warleader's Call, and Mirkwood Bats convert all that churn into life loss, and Cathars' Crusade plus All-Out Assault turn the swarm into a lethal double combat. The deck has no true combo line and relies on incremental card advantage and drain.
