Deck overview

This deck is a Jund attrition and midrange strategy centered on -1/-1 counters, wither, and blight mechanics led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The commander functions as a premier card advantage engine and incremental win condition, drawing cards when counters are placed on friendly creatures and draining life when placed on opposing creatures. The deck rapidly ramps in the early turns, establishing low-curve counter generators before resolving Auntie Ool on Turn 4. From Turn 5 onward, asymmetric lock pieces and mass counter spells such as Kulrath Knight, Soul Snuffers, Carnifex Demon, and Maha, Its Feathers Night completely neutralize opposing creature development. The engine transitions into a win via massive token swarms from Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, augmented by persistent drain from Obelisk Spider. High functional redundancy and recursive packages ensure strong resilience against targeted interaction.
