Format: Commander

Commander: Zedruu the Greathearted

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zedruu the Greathearted leads a control and bad-gifts strategy focused on passing harmful permanents and political enablers to opponents while drawing massive card advantage. By donating debilitating cards like Steel Golem, Grid Monitor, or Rust Elemental, you lock opponents out of casting creatures and drain their resources. The deck protects itself with pillowfort staples like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda while sculpting a game-ending win condition. Primary paths to victory include sudden lethal gift combos like donating Nine Lives or Transcendence before destroying or exiling them, self-mill wins via Thought Lash with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, or alternate win conditions like Approach of the Second Sun and Felidar Sovereign.
