Deck overview

Isshin, Two Heavens as One commands an aggressive Mardu token deck designed to trigger and double combat abilities. The deck establishes early board presence on Turns 1 through 3 before casting Isshin to double the output of token generators such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Hero of Bladehold, and Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon by Turn 4. This creates a wide, must-answer combat board by Turn 5. Rather than utilizing infinite combos or fast-mana acceleration, the deck wins through scaling combat damage, supported by pump effects like Márton Stromgald, Fervent Charge, and Akroma's Will. To survive opposing sweepers, the deck leverages an exceptional suite of phase-out and indestructible protection spells, including Teferi's Protection, Clever Concealment, and Boros Charm. High threat redundancy ensures consistent execution and reliable game finishes by Turn 7.
