Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Mardu combat-cheat build commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary strategy accelerates into an early Kaalia deployment using dense 0-2 CMC mana rocks and rituals, then equips haste or protects her into combat on Turn 4. On attack, Kaalia cheats enormous Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, bypassing their hefty mana costs. Cheated threats like Master of Cruelties, Rakdos the Defiler, Archfiend of Despair, and Aurelia, the Warleader rapidly eliminate individual opponents and dismantle opposing boards. The deck is reinforced by elite black tutors, efficient exile removal, card advantage engines like Necropotence and Vilis, Broker of Blood, and free commander protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver to ensure Kaalia connects unimpeded.
