Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius tempo-stax and +1/+1 counters strategy commanded by Denzilore Fatehold. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost flying creatures with repeatable scry and surveil triggers, such as Nightveil Sprite, Il Mheg Pixie, and Elrond, Lord of Rivendell, alongside a dense suite of disruptive hatebears including Archon of Emeria, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Lavinia, Azorius Renegade. These stax elements restrict opposing mana development and spell velocity while you flash in Denzilore Fatehold to convert every library manipulation trigger into permanent +1/+1 counters across your entire battlefield. The deck transitions into a lethal threat on Turn 6 by resolving asymmetric board breakers like Wave Goodbye or Damning Verdict, or by granting total unblockability with Herald of Secret Streams. Additionally, a secondary hard lockout is achievable by tutoring Knowledge Pool with Treasure Mage alongside Rule of Law effects or Teferi, Time Raveler. Strong reactive countermagic and versatile phasing protection ensure the board survives to close out the game.
