Deck overview

Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep is a graveyard-reanimator sea-monster deck. The front face is the setup piece: put a 6-plus-mana Kraken, Leviathan, Octopus, or Serpent into the graveyard, cast Runo to place it on top, then flip on upkeep. The back face is the payoff: Krothuss copies another attacking sea creature, ideally a nonlegendary one like Stormtide Leviathan or Spawning Kraken, creating two extra attackers. Reanimation spells and tutors (Entomb, Buried Alive, Reanimate, Necromancy) assemble the board quickly, while counterspells, Opposition Agent, and Hullbreaker Horror protect it. Hullbreaker Horror acts as the hidden commander, serving as a tutorable control/combo engine.
