Deck overview

This is a midrange Black-red artifact-ramp deck helmed by Smaug, Wicked Worm that uses Treasure tokens as both its mana base and its card-draw engine. The core loop is: generate Treasures from Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Goldspan Dragon, and Descent into Avernus, spend that Treasure mana to cast spells (each one drawing a card at the cost of 1 life), and convert the resulting artifact avalanche into a kill. Primary wins are Crackle with Power amplified by Fiery Emancipation/Twinflame Tyrant, artifact-count conditions on Hellkite Tyrant, Knuckles the Echidna, and Revel in Riches, drain from Mirkwood Bats/Reckless Fireweaver, and a two-card one-shot with Terror of the Peaks + Devastating Onslaught. Krark-Clan Ironworks + Crime Novelist turn each sacrificed Treasure into three mana, supercharging the whole engine. The commander is a value engine rather than an early combo piece; the deck snowballs through the mid-game.
