Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange build focused on the Villain creature type, combat triggers, and discard value engines. Led by Loki, the Deceiver, the strategy curves early Villain creatures into Loki on Turn 4. Beginning on Turn 5, Loki attacks to create temporary nonlegendary copies of the best Villains on board while drawing multiple cards each combat when Villains connect with opponents. The deck converts card flow into board presence through connive triggers and discard synergies like Mayhem, Containment Construct, and Currency Converter. By Turn 6, deploying major anthem threats like The Squadron Sinister or Titania, Proud Pummeler creates an overwhelming, evasive combat force that closes out the table by Turn 8. Flexible spot removal keeps opposing threats in check, though the deck relies on fair combat damage and lacks countermagic.
