Demons in Paris by user8284560

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast leads a Mardu cheat-into-play strategy that accelerates Angels, Demons, and Dragons into combat ahead of curve. The primary plan is to resolve Kaalia early, give her haste where possible, and use her attack trigger to deploy extra-combat threats such as Aurelia, Port Razer, Bloodthirster, and Scourge of the Throne, chaining attacks to flood the board. Secondary lines include reanimator packages (Reanimate/Animate Dead) and mana-engine combos: Aggravated Assault with Ancient Copper Dragon or Helm of the Host with Aurelia. The commander is the engine rather than a combo piece; no hidden commander is present. The deck closes through evasive combat damage, Dragon Tempest pings, and Terror of the Peaks triggers.
