Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis spellslinger combo deck piloted by Fire Lord Azula. The strategy leverages cost-efficient mana rocks, rituals, and velocity cantrips to build toward game-ending spell loops. While Azula provides extra mana through firebending and copies spells cast while attacking, the deck's primary win condition is the compact two-card infinite combo of Twinflame and Dualcaster Mage. By casting Twinflame on an existing creature and responding with flash Dualcaster Mage, the deck generates an arbitrary number of hasty token copies to eliminate the table in a single turn. Backup win routes utilize Underworld Breach combined with Brain Freeze and Lotus Petal to mill out opponents, or storm payoffs like Ral, Storm Conduit, Guttersnipe, and Fiery Inscription. A robust interaction suite of cheap countermagic and flexible spot removal protects combo turns while disrupting faster opponents.
