Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mono-Red Dragon tribal strategy led by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan revolves around spending early turns deploying mana rocks and tribal cost-reducers such as Dragonspeaker Shaman and Dragonlord's Servant. Once sufficient mana is established, the deck casts Lathliss to double every subsequent non-token Dragon into two flying bodies. The deck converts broad aerial presence into lethal damage through combat multipliers like Terror of Mount Velus, Utvara Hellkite, and Scourge of the Throne, complemented by direct burn triggers from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas. While the list features high creature quality and resilient standalone threats, it carries a high average mana curve and relies heavily on untapping with multiple expensive permanents, making it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and targeted removal.
