Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck leverages Council of Reeds to bypass the legend rule and double its board presence every turn a noncreature spell is cast. Starting on Turn 3 with the commander and Turn 4 with a cheap enabler, the deck creates an exponential wave of 2/2 Human Scientist tokens. This swarm directly fuels devastating asymmetric control pieces like Opposition, which taps down all opposing mana sources during upkeeps, and Relic of Legends, which turns every legendary token into immediate mana. The deck converts this overwhelming board state into a win through explosive mill payoffs like Bruvac the Grandiloquent, The Mindskinner, and Maddening Cacophony, or through mass unblockable combat damage paved by one-sided sweepers like Raise the Palisade, Perplexing Test, and Cyclonic Rift. Backed by countermagic and mass phasing, the deck transitions smoothly from board control into an inescapable endgame.
